Kitchen Fires in Condominiums can affect multiple units

Its a scary but very real reality that if you live in an apartment or Condominium a fire in your Unit can affect your neighbors and vice versa.  Fires that originate in the Microwave are more common than we like to think.  If you can catch the fire in the infant stage still in the microwave, many times only the microwave will have to be replaced.  Left unnoticed and unattended of course the fire will continue to burn.

In this circumstance the microwave fire escalated into a 3 alarm fire and affected 4 other units.  Even a microwave should not be left unattended for extended time periods. Practice fire safety.
